Live greener with Countryside
As a responsible house builder, we care about the environmental impact our homes have. We take great care to design and build them with that in mind, using sustainably sourced materials, installing energy saving features, and harnessing new technology.
Our homes can reduce your carbon footprint by 89%.*
Our new homes produce a significantly less amount of carbon than a typical 1930s property, with 1.3 tonnes per year compared to 11.4 tonnes per year. This is as a result of the energy efficient design, build and fit out of our homes, and we will continue to look at new ways to further reduce the carbon footprint of our homes.
Our efficiently designed homes use 705% less energy and save £1,723 a year on bills.*
Our homes come with lots of energy-saving features as standard, from best-in-class boilers to superb insulation and low-energy LED lighting. Features like these provide cost savings for you on your monthly energy bills whilst giving the environment a helping hand too.
Our advanced ventilation system, gives you continual, filtered, fresh air to create healthier and cleaner homes.
We install a Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) system in all of our homes, which takes fresh air from outside and filters out any pollen or impurities, regulates the humidity, and circulates the clean air throughout your home. Our PIV system is designed to create a healthier home environment by eliminating damp and condensation, which are the main causes of mould. The lower humidity level reduces house dust mites and significantly improves the health of allergy and asthma sufferers.
Our water saving features use 26% less water, saving a family of four £153.64 a year.*
Our kitchen and bathrooms have water saving fixtures and fittings incorporated that don’t compromise on their functionality. These features could save you up to 33 litres a day per person which adds up to a huge amount for your average family. Our taps and showers use aerated technology to provide the feeling of a strong flow, whilst using less water. Plus our dual low flush toilets use the minimum amount of water to ensure less wastage.
Our high performance double glazing is 269% more energy efficient, helping to keep our homes warmer.*
Our very high efficiency double glazing provides the best of both worlds as it allows heat in from the sun but minimises it escaping in winter. This is achieved by having a gas filled cavity to prevent heat loss and a low-emissive coating to allow beneficial heat from the sun to penetrate.
Our timber frames are factory designed and engineered from sustainably sourced wood; guaranteeing quality, reducing waste, and enabling faster construction.
By producing our modular panels and timber frames in a controlled environment we are able to build even better and more efficient homes. As wood stores carbon, it is one of the best environmentally sustainable materials available, it also allows us the flexibility to use the best insulation in both the walls and roofs minimising heat loss. Our factory recycles all waste with 0% going to landfill and the offsite construction means quicker onsite construction and improved health and safety.
