A new home for a new family at Meadow Rise

Meadow Rise Case Study

Liam Timson-Proud (24) and his wife Emma Courtney (25), who work as a lorry driver and midwife respectively, were looking for the perfect family home to move into with their newborn son, Ernie Timson-Proud.

Liam’s sister had already bought a home from Countryside at the Hanbury Place development in Chelmsford, and Liam really liked the design. He began exploring available homes at the nearby Meadow Rise development in Braintree, and when he came across The Laurel, a lovely 3-bedroom home, he immediately knew it was perfect place for his family to put down roots.

Upon visiting Meadow Rise for the first time, Liam noticed the beautiful landscaping and abundance of open, green space. He particularly liked how the homes were well spaced out on large individual plots and all had lovely gardens.

He says: “Meadow Rise is a beautiful development. The landscaping is fantastic and the fact that you have so much open space is very relaxing. It’s a well-designed development and I was really able to picture myself living here when I first visited. Something about it just felt right which led me to make a quick decision to go ahead and buy”.

Liam says: “I went through the whole process of buying my new home on Meadow Rise virtually and I was surprised with how quick and easy everything was. It only took around two weeks for me to go through the whole process and it probably could have all been done in two or three days if I was quicker with some of my own decision making! The Sales Consultant guided me through everything. I would definitely recommend others to buy now as well. It might seem like a strange time due to the pandemic but at the same time, we all have more time to thoroughly research and explore our options to invest in our future.”

He adds: “Luckily, I was able to purchase the home using the Help to Buy scheme. That really made everything affordable and much more convenient.”

Residents at Meadow Rise can enjoy the best of both worlds. Residing in a community of green space, residents are at the perfect distance from Braintree town centre - but still have the benefit of feeling like they’re away from the hustle and bustle. The development boasts a timeless design with architecture inspired by local colour palettes and architectural details. At the heart of the development, a number of mature trees have been preserved and a network of footpaths are also easily accessible. Residents can enjoy quiet peaceful walks in privacy – as if they’ve stepped into their own slice of rural paradise.

In addition to highlighting the wonderful design of the development itself, Liam also praises the carefully crafted interiors: “The Laurel had a lovely open-plan living room and kitchen which I really appreciated, as it creates plenty of space in which to host guests or relax with the family. The kitchen is absolutely fantastic – everything is new and it comes equipped with top-notch integrated equipment which is very convenient. There is also plenty of parking space in the garage which is brilliant.”

Each home at Meadow Rise has been meticulously designed with modern-day living in mind. Throughout the homes, neutral tones complement the light-filled, generously proportioned rooms. Wood effect Amtico Spacia flooring and luxurious carpets provide a feeling of class and sophistication. From the energy efficient built-in appliances in the kitchen to the stylish white sanitaryware and chrome accessories in the bathroom, each home has been finished to the highest standard.

Despite having reserved his home during the coronavirus pandemic, Liam says in hindsight he is pleased that he made the decision and would recommend others to go through the same process virtually with Countryside: “Keeping a good line of communication is vital now and in this regard, the Sales Consultant at Countryside really delivered. There’s nothing stopping anybody from making a purchase now so having had this positive experience, I would recommend that others do the same.”

Meadow Rise offers residents the opportunity to live in a semi-rural environment while still being well connected. The development is in close proximity to main roads such as the A120, A12, M25 and M11, and Stansted Airport is also just 16 miles from Braintree.

Being a short drive away from Braintree’s town centre also gives access to excellent options for shopping and dining. The development is also situated 10 miles northeast of Chelmsford and 15 miles west of Colchester.
