Countryside gives health and safety talk to Shropshire pupils
Pupils at Shifnal Primary School welcomed our West Midlands team to give an important health and safety lesson, ahead of the Christmas holidays.
Earlier this year we opened the doors to our nearby Stanton Road Show Village, at Linwood Park. The team visited the school to teach Key Stage One and Two pupils about the dangers of playing near building sites through an interactive Q&A session and informative demonstrations.
Commenting on the health and safety presentation, Adam Farrington, Head Teacher at Shifnal Primary School, said: “Our pupils thoroughly enjoyed meeting the Countryside team and learning all about health and safety on construction sites. This is particularly useful for our pupils, as the upcoming Christmas holiday means that many may be playing outdoors. We want to thank Countryside for their time!”
Adam Daniels, Regional Operations Director, Partnerships West Midlands, Countryside added: “The safety of local residents is very important to us, so visiting neighbouring schools is a key part in our ongoing community safety initiative. With the schoolchildren likely to walk past, or live near our Linwood Park development, our presentation aims to make the pupils aware of the underlying dangers that can occur around live housing developments.
“Thank you to Shifnal Primary School for their warm welcome and we hope the pupils found our assembly both enjoyable and informative.”
With prices starting from £187,500, Linwood Park offers a selection of two, three and four bedroom homes, available through a number of home buying initiatives such as the Help to Buy scheme.
