Buckinghamshire is famous for the rolling Chiltern Hills (which inspired John Betjeman), and the River Thames, which gently meanders through green countryside and unspoilt villages.
Over the years it has been the setting for many classic films, including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Four Weddings and a Funeral, and Gosford Park. And it is easy to see why – Buckinghamshire is largely sought after for its attractive countryside, picturesque woodlands and convenient links to London.
Towns such as High Wycombe, Amersham and Beaconsfield are popular thanks to their superb travel connections with the capital. And Buckinghamshire is also home to the new city of Milton Keynes, well-known for its award-winning shopping facilities, sweeping modern architecture and cultural destinations.
