Places People Love
Where do you want to work?
Have a look at the homes and the places we create and they’ll give you a sense of how we build exceptional quality into everything we do. We are passionate about creating great places for people to live. The same goes for creating environments where our people enjoy working, are encouraged to reach their full potential, and have the support they need to excel. You’ll see our passion there too.
Develop your talents, achieve your aspirations
As a new home builder, we’re driven by the desire to help our customers’ dreams come true. That’s what pushes us to constantly improve every aspect of our business — from the quality of our homes and the places we create to the abilities of our people.
We are with you all the way
You’re not on your own at Countryside, you’re very much part of a team, all pulling together to reach our goals and creating a lasting legacy that we can all be proud of. To help you play your part we’ll give you all the support you need. Things like training that’s targeted to your specific needs, performance reviews that help identify your development opportunities, and employment policies that have got our people at their heart.
Opportunities for all
We may be a house builder but we’re a business too. That means we need people with a wide range of skills: accountants, marketeers, lawyers, IT experts and many more. And we’re an equal opportunities employer in every way. When it comes to recruitment, we don’t discriminate. When it comes to helping our people develop, and recognising their achievements, we work hard to make that happen too.
Qualifications and professionalism
We’re firm believers that learning doesn’t end when you leave school, college or university. We promote professionalism by encouraging our people to achieve awards and accreditation from industry bodies such as RICS and NHBC.
Through our Study Support Programme, you can undertake a range of courses including bachelor’s and master’s degrees, as well as professional qualifications in areas including accounting, HR, architecture and surveying.
"Our people are our greatest asset. Looking after them and developing their skills helps them and the company in the longer term."
Graham Cherry, Chief Executive, New Homes & Communities, Countryside
What’s to love about work? Everything.
Does your current role offer you a positive learning culture? We do. Are there a variety of training programmes and real opportunities to develop? At Countryside the answer is yes — and there’s lots more too.
We want you to be great
That means we’ll stretch you – coasting along simply isn’t an option. And of course, we’ll reward you for your contribution to our success. You can expect a fair salary in every role. We’ll review your salary every year — and base increases on how well the company does, and how much you contribute. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package including generous holiday allowance and contributory pension.
We know our stuff
To build the best homes, we need the best people. The ones who work harder and smarter than everyone else. So we’ll help you get to know your stuff too. Your training will be built around the skills and knowledge you need to carry out your role at the highest level.
We are close to our customers. Our people deal with them face-to-face every day. We listen to what they have to say, and learn how we can become better. It’s the sort of attitude that’s helped us improve customer satisfaction levels and win more Housing Design Awards than any other developer.
