Conceived as a sustainable urban extension for Chelmsford, Beaulieu comprises a mix of traditional and contemporary new homes located in a series of individually designed and masterplanned neighbourhoods. The development will be linked together by an extensive network of parkland and open spaces and there will be new health and sports facilities, local shops, schools and community facilities. It will also provide a new landscaped setting for Grade 1 listed New Hall school.
A multi-million pound package of new infrastructure and community facilities is being provided to facilitate the development. This includes a major relief road, junction enhancements to the A12 and a new railway station.
Building on a successful earlier phase comprising over 600 new homes, Beaulieu is being undertaken in partnership with L&Q.
