'Next stop: Countryside' says first time buyers
First-time buyers Tomas and Rebecca are on track to becoming homeowners after finding their dream four-bedroom detached home - in the perfect commutable location - at Countryside’s Coppenhall Place development in Crewe.
Currently living in Denton, Manchester, Tomas (33) and Rebecca (30) were ready to move to somewhere more rural. With both of them working for Avanti West Coast, they started their search for the perfect family home along the North West trainline, before discovering Coppenhall Place ticked all the boxes.
Train manager, Tomas and Rebecca who works in customer service, have chosen a four-bedroom Lymington home at Countryside’s Crewe development, where prices start from £192,995. The pair are making the move with their two children, Milo (3) and Holly (2) as well as keeping their jobs in mind.
Tomas said: “We knew we were ready to move out of the city and, with us both working for Avanti, we had a good look at places along the train network. When we came across Coppenhall Place, it instantly felt right; a lovely, up and coming area poised for HS2 and investment in the train station.
“You get the best of both worlds here too; only 30mins away from Manchester but surrounded by beautiful countryside. The development is also right next to Queen’s Park, which will be a great place for the kids to play.”
Tomas explains that finding the right layout in a home was just as important as the location: “When we saw the Lymington with Countryside, we not only loved the look, style and high quality of finish, but the open plan layout was exactly what we wanted. When taking a tour of the showhome, we could already imagine ourselves cooking in the kitchen/diner and spending time together as a family. And - for when the kids go to bed - there’s a separate living room for the two of us to relax in which is a bonus.”
As first-time buyers, Tomas and Rebecca used the government-backed Help to Buy scheme to help them get onto the property ladder and secure their forever home. Tomas explained: “We wanted to find a home for the long term that would work around our growing family. With Milo and Holly starting school in the next couple of years too, it felt like the right time to finally buy and to find a place to settle down. Using the Help to Buy scheme allowed us to buy a bigger home sooner rather than needing to move again in a few years.”
Tomas added: “The whole process has been excellent and Countryside has been everything we could have hoped for when buying our first home. We can’t wait to move in!”
Gordon Innes, Managing Director, Partnerships Manchester and Cheshire East, Countryside, said: “Crewe is rapidly becoming a commuter favourite and is attracting a lot of investment as a result. We’re proud to be playing our part in that with our Coppenhall Place development.
“Coppenhall Place is the ideal location for many families, thanks to its excellent connectivity and local amenities, and Tomas and Rebecca’s story is a perfect example of that. We wish them and their young family many happy years in their new home.”
