A place where memories are made
Santina Thomas and her husband Benjamin Thomas knew their family would soon become too large for their 3-bedroom apartment in Wickford. They decided the time had come to look for a new home for them and their young daughter Valentina (19 months).
Santina and Benjamin were already familiar with Runwell and liked living in the area. Upon hearing that new homes were being built at St Luke’s Park, they decided to visit the development. First impressions surely count and Santina highlights what stood out for them as soon as they drove into the development:
“One of the first things we noticed was the variety of house designs and the ample space between them. Each house looked like it was the full package, with spacious driveways and beautifully detailed porch entrances. The green spaces and parkland environment also struck us as an excellent environment for Valentina to grow up in and added a layer of charm to the development, with sculpted hedges and trees surrounding many of the homes”.
The exceptional collection of 4 & 5 bedroom homes in St Luke’s Park are set within a mature woodland area and offer relaxed, rural living and great city connections. Stretching over 200 acres of land formerly occupied by Runwell Hospital, residents living here are surrounded by hedgerows and trees and benefit from access to a pretty village green, proposed new school and an impressive Grade II listed chapel, which is allocated for community use.
Santina highlights what her and her husband liked most upon entering the 4-bedroom Holly, a home they bought shortly after their first visit there: “The first thing that stood out to us were the stylish and contemporary interiors, which were finished to the highest specification. Alongside this, the flexible, open plan layout felt like it would complement family life perfectly”.
In the short time they have lived at St Luke’s Park, Santina and Benjamin have already met many of their neighbours. “The community on the development seems really nice and friendly”, says Santina. “We even had a welcome card put through our door the day we moved in which was a very nice touch. I’ve also noticed neighbours making an effort, and it’s not uncommon for them to kindly drop off packages at our door. The friendly vibe within the community is definitely noticeable and events like the recently held summer fayre barbecue have also given us a good chance to meet the St Luke’s Park community”.
The level of convenience that comes with living on the development is another factor that Santina highlights as a major attribute: “Living at St Luke’s Park means you have access to great travel connections. On one hand, you’re only a five minute drive away from Wickford and the train station there, which means you can be in London Liverpool Street in around 40 minutes. I use this service three times a week and find it very convenient”.
She adds: “There’s also a free shuttle bus that comes to St Luke’s Park and takes you to Wickford. It’s in line with the train times at Wickford station which is incredibly handy. Buying a home here means you can get a free bus pass for a year as well which is another very nice touch indeed”.
A range of four and five bedroom homes are currently available at St Luke’s Park. The marketing suite and show homes are open daily from 10 to 5 pm.
