Essex lies between London and the sea. It has a long coastline, which includes the famous seaside resorts of Southend, Clacton and Walton. But much of its coast is remote and undisturbed and of great importance for nature conservation.

Inland, ancient woodlands and forests are part of a varied landscape that features thatched cottages, timber-framed farmhouses and even windmills. With much of its land still in agricultural production, Essex remains a rural county.

We have a long history of delivering much needed, high quality new housing in Essex and continue to do so.  We have a number of developments underway across the county, providing new apartments and houses.  The iconic and ever popular Beaulieu developments in the county city of Chelmsford was built by Countryside.
