Countryside, the UK’s leading mixed-tenure developer, has commenced building work to create 82 new affordable homes at Shetcliffe Lane in Bradford.

The homes will be managed by registered provider, Sage Housing, and will comprise a range of two and three-bedroom homes, which will be available for affordable rent and affordable home ownership.

The start of work on site will see Countryside grow its affordable housing portfolio in partnership with Sage Housing, which also includes 196 homes at Pullman Green in Hexthorpe in Doncaster and a further proposed scheme in North Yorkshire.

With a shared portfolio of over 350 affordable homes in Yorkshire, Sage Housing and Countryside are fulfilling a partnership ambition to bring a more diverse supply of high-quality affordable homes to the region.

Chris Penn, Managing Director Yorkshire, Countryside, commented: “Our commitment to working in partnership provides the perfect basis for Countryside and registered providers to utilise our respective expertise to unlock land potential and create new communities of high quality, affordable and sustainable homes for local people. We are proud to be extending our partnership with Sage Housing at Shetcliffe Lane in Bradford and to be increasing the supply of affordable homes for the region. Alongside our ambition to create vibrant new neighbourhoods is a commitment to support local communities.”
