Countryside celebrates the 70th anniversary of the NHS
Countryside celebrates the 70th anniversary of the NHS by delivering hampers to Broomfield Hospital.
To mark this momentous occasion hampers were delivered around the wards of Broomfield Hospital, celebrating the unsung heroes of our health service, who work so hard to keep us well and help us get better.
In total, there were 70 hampers, ten of which were donated by Countryside. Each basket was packed with delicious treats from in and around Essex. As well as locally sourced goodies, the hampers also included 70 kids passes to Colchester Zoo.
Broomfield Hospital is located on Hospital Approach, the same road as Countryside’s Hanbury Place development. This traditional development, consisting of 1 and 2-bed apartments and 2, 3 and 4-bed houses, takes in the character of the surrounding area and is ideally placed, in close proximity to the busy city of Chelmsford.
The team had a wonderful afternoon at Broomfield Hospital, meeting the amazing NHS staff, as well as Chelmsford’s Mayor, Councillor Yvonne Spence. Countryside Sales Consultant from Hanbury Place, Steve Ward, said: “It was a wonderful experience, especially as the first hamper we delivered was to the neonatal ward, where I spent nine days last year with my daughter. The staff were incredible, and my daughter recovered, so it was great to get the chance to say thank you again.”
Chris Bladon, Managing Director for New Homes & Communities East at Countryside, added, “We are so proud to have been part of this initiative and relished the opportunity to bring these fantastic hampers from Secret Hamper to Chelmsford’s NHS staff. We will continue to work closely with Broomfield Hospital and look forward to future partnerships. Thank you to everyone that made the day possible.”
