Countryside celebrates shortlisting success at RESI Awards 2021
We are pleased to announce we’ve been shortlisted in two categories at this year’s RESI Awards. As the UK’s leading mixed-tenure developer with a track record of delivering new neighbourhoods with environmental, economic, and social value for over 60 years, this recognition is testament to our team’s dedication to create new communities that truly cater for modern life.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the RESI Awards and to celebrate a one-off award, Residential Company of the Decade, has been added to recognise and reward exceptional achievements, and we’re delighted to have been shortlisted within this category. This award celebrates outstanding successes in a decade that started in the depths of the global financial crisis and ended in a global pandemic.
Over the last ten years, we’ve transformed from a family business to an award-winning mixed-tenure housebuilder. Our approach to placemaking guided by design for life principles, focuses on creating not only quality homes, but also infrastructure and green spaces, and engaging with partners – from local authorities and housing associations to private rented sector providers - and local communities at the heart of its ethos. Having also launched a dedicated £1m Communities Fund last year to help those severely affected by Covid-19, we’re pleased to have pledged a further £1m in 2021 to continue supporting those most in need.
Our second shortlisting is for our flagship development in Cambridge, Great Kneighton in the Development of the Year category. Celebrating developments with a strong focus on design, quality and innovative features, we’re currently in the final stages of delivering a successfully interconnected mixed-use development with over 2,500 new homes, improved access to the countryside, enhanced facilities and enriched biodiversity.
These awards, organised by Property Week, celebrate the achievements of companies, teams and individuals working in the residential property sector, and we’re proud to have scooped up two shortlisting for these prestigious awards. We look forward to attending the awards ceremony on 1st December at Grosvenor House, where the winners will be announced.
