Our Abington Place development in Northampton has been shortlisted for the Sustainable Development of the Year award at the East Midlands Bricks Awards 2020.

The Sustainable Development of the Year category recognises developments with a true commitment to sustainability for the benefit of future generations. Abington Place has been shortlisted for its mindful approach to sustainability, including the provision of electric car charging points for all homes and its proximity to large, green open spaces such as Lings Wood Nature Reserve and Sywell Country Park.

In addition to this, we have allocated £56,718 to landscaping to provide the scheme with attractive open green areas, encouraging residents to spend more time outdoors, including a new on-site children’s area with play equipment, available for public access. Overall, the development will provide 33,661 sq ft of public open space for everybody to enjoy.

At Countryside, we take great pride in creating high-quality developments, which incorporate a host of environmentally friendly features. This shortlisting reflects our commitment to providing greener living environments and establishing sustainable communities.

We are proud to be recognised at these prestigious awards, which champion businesses with strong brand integrity and a dedication to building better communities.
