Countryside shortlisted for three First Time Buyer Awards

FTB-21

We are pleased to announce that three Countryside developments have been shortlisted at this year’s First Time Buyer Readers’ Awards.

The prestigious awards are now in their 12th year, recognising housebuilders and housing associations for their dedication to helping aspirational buyers on to the housing ladder.

One of Countryside’s flagship developments, Greenwich Millennium Village has been shortlisted for Best Large Development, a beacon for how a large, modern, urban development can move beyond the numbers to create places people love.

A joint venture development by Countryside and Taylor Wimpey, in association with the Mayor of London, GMV is characterised by its green surroundings and its position beside the River Thames. The development includes a 4-acre Ecology Park and a large open park, known as Southern Park and once complete, will create over 2800 new homes, set within distinct neighbourhoods and designed with landscaped courtyards linked by tree-lined avenues for an all-round village feel.

Testament to the joint venture between Countryside and L&Q, Beaulieu has been shortlisted for Best Partnership.  As one of the most important new developments in Essex, Beaulieu is a sustainable expansion for the growing city of Chelmsford. Born from a shared vision between the partners, and the result of extensive partnership working with Chelmsford City Council and Highways England, the landmark 610-acre development will deliver 3,600 homes, of which 30% are affordable. With a landscape-led approach, the development is set amongst 176 acres of green open space with a network of footpaths, cycle routes and bridleways to access the sustainable homes.

Our Elements development has also been shortlisted in the Best Off-Plan Development category. Situated in Enfield, Elements offers a compelling proposition for the first-time buyer market, with excellent transport links, proposed on-site amenities, specification, and affordability.

When complete in 2028, the site will have 993 new homes, new community facilities as well as a resident’s gym and medical centre. Each of the apartments on offer are an excellent choice for the first-time buyer demographic thanks to the smart and flexible layout, quality of finishes and sophisticated design; perfect for relaxing and entertaining.

We pride ourselves on building high-quality homes and these awards reflect our commitment to creating places people love.

Voting for the awards will go live on Friday 21st May, before winners are announced in September – visit www.ftbawards.com for more information and to place your vote.
