Easter Egg-Stravaganza at Rochester Riverside!

As Medway basked in the Easter sunshine, Rochester residents were treated to an egg-citing day of Easter fun at Rochester Riverside, Countryside and Hyde’s £419m regeneration scheme in Medway on Saturday 20th April.

Hosted at the on-site marketing suite, Rochester Riverside laid on a number of fun activities for all the family. Children enjoyed exploring the new development with an Easter egg hunt, while Rochester Riverside welcomed some unusual new residents in the shape of a petting farm! Families were able to meet Rochester Riverside’s unique guests, including a sheep, a goat, ducks, chickens, rabbits, tortoises and more.

There was even the opportunity to become your very own Easter bunny, with face painting available, alongside a balloon artist. Mr Whippy and his ice cream van was on hand, as well as Countryside mascot Bill Ding who was almost as popular with the visitors as the Easter eggs.

Those that attended the event were also given the opportunity to walk along the first street scene at Rochester Riverside, which extends alongside the newly regenerated salt marsh. This allowed Rochester residents to see new views of the development for the very first time, as well as the River Medway. When complete, Rochester Riverside will deliver a new 2.5km riverside walkway that will afford even more picturesque Medway views.
