Abode claims the Graham Pye Award at the 2019 Housing Design Awards for most family friendly development
We are proud to announce that Phase 2 of Countryside’s Abode development in Great Kneighton has won the Graham Pye Award at the 2019 Housing Design Awards.
This is another fantastic achievement for our Great Kneighton development in Trumpington, Cambridge, which has won a number of awards for the design of its previous phases. This includes being named the 2014 Housing Design Award’s Supreme Winner for Phase 1 of Abode.
The Graham Pye Award is given to those developments that have the most family friendly designs. Homes at Abode are surrounded by green open spaces, cycle paths and a range of excellent amenities, including a brand-new primary and secondary school. The judges were impressed by the overall design of the development and the way the individual house types maximize the use of the site.
Launched by the government in 1948, the Housing Design Awards champion skill and innovation in housebuilding and planning. The awards operate as a cross-industry partnership between various arms of government, the private sector and all five major professional institutions - RICS, RIBA, RPTI, Landscape Institute and Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists.
With more Housing Design Awards than any other housebuilder, Countryside has a reputation for high-quality design and this award win reflects our commitment to creating places people love.
