Base at Newhall shortlisted at the Harlow Architectural Design Awards
We are pleased to announce that 3, 4 and 5 Quiet Lane at our Base development in Newhall have been shortlisted for a Harlow Architectural Design Award in the residential category.
Base at Newhall is one of Countryside’s flagship developments, delivering up to 1,000 new homes to the Harlow area. Countryside is committed to delivering high-quality design, and the architecture of Quiet Lane is a testament to that.
Judges from the Harlow Architectural Design Awards nominated homes on Quiet Lane for their varied size and number of storeys. The judges also liked how the front doors, windows and garages had been positioned in slightly different ways and noted the interesting treatment of the brickwork. Despite its many unique features, Quiet Lane—designed by Scott Brownrigg Limited—is conceptually cohesive, and the judges appreciated its urban feel, which highlights Harlow’s position as a town in the country.
The Harlow Architectural Design Awards, organised by the Harlow Civic Society, are now in their fourth year. The awards recognise the very best in Harlow’s existing architecture, whilst also encouraging excellence in the design of Harlow’s new developments. Harlow residents will vote for their favourite shortlisted developments, and the final selection will be made by a panel of local people, making winners of one residential, one non-residential and one environmental project.
At Countryside, we do more than build new homes: we are committed to using high-quality design and excellent building materials to create places people love. Base at Newhall is a perfect example of this commitment. If you would like 3, 4 and 5 Quiet Lane to win the Residential Award, please click here to cast your vote.
