Countryside named as partner for the development of Phase 3 at Tattenhoe Park Milton Keynes
The Government’s housing accelerator, Homes England provided infrastructure for the site which is part of a residential-led mixed-use development that will deliver over 300 homes.
Phase three of the scheme, which is being built by Countryside, will deliver over 300 new homes using modern methods of construction and will provide a mix of apartments and one to five-bedroom houses. Construction on site will begin in Spring 2020 and housing completions are expected from Autumn 2020.
The site at Tattenhoe Park is a strong example of Countryside working in partnership with Homes England to meet the challenge of delivering more high-quality homes quickly at a time when housing is a topical issue.
The development has outline planning permission with 30 percent of the development allocated towards affordable homes.
Phillip Lyons, Chief Executive, Housebuilding at Countryside, said: “We are very pleased to be part of Homes England’s ambitions to build better homes faster, working collaboratively at Tattenhoe to deliver much-needed homes, but most importantly places people love.”
Dan Wheatley, Senior Development Manager, at Homes England, said: “We are supporting modern methods of construction as a means of increasing building productivity and improving energy efficiency. By working with partners such as Countryside and encouraging the broader industry to utilise MMC, we will accelerate the pace and delivery of new homes.”
