Great Kneighton recognised for its outstanding commitment to local communities
We are thrilled to announce that Aura and Abode at Great Kneighton, Cambridge, have been rewarded for improving the local community and their surrounding areas. Aura, The Next Chapter has received a Commendation in the Civic Trust Awards 2019 and the third phase at Great Kneighton's Abode has been shortlisted for this year's RIBA East Award.
The Civic Trust Awards celebrates outstanding architecture, planning and design in the built environment, whilst rewarding projects that offer a positive cultural, social, economic or environmental benefit to local communities. Aura was recognised for its best-in-class architecture, as well as improving the built environment through design, sustainability, inclusiveness and accessibility. Delivering 394 new homes, Aura, The Next Chapter is quickly becoming a vibrant new neighbourhood at the heart of Great Kneighton. The growing community also benefits from an impressive range of facilities, with plenty of green open space on its doorstep.
The RIBA East Award celebrates built environments that improve the surrounding, to make a real difference to the way people live. Abode has been shortlisted thanks to its thoughtfully created homes and contribution to the lively new community at Great Kneighton. We look forward to finding out the winners in May.
Countryside works hard to deliver high-quality homes and communities and these two award recognitions reflect our commitment to creating places people love.
