New Homes Snapped Up In Bamber Bridge

Building work is gathering pace on site at Countryside’s latest development, Wren Green in Bamber Bridge, where 16 homes have already been reserved by local home buyers. Prices at the development start at just £179,995 for a three-bedroom home.

Countryside launched the new collection of homes on the site of a former Wesley Street cotton mill last summer and is now progressing the first phase of the development, which includes 83 three and four-bedroom homes for open market sale.

To showcase the new homes, Countryside launched a collection of show homes at Wren Green in November last year: the three-bedroom Ashbourne and New Stamford and the four-bedroom Dunham, each one designed with modern open-plan features to maximise space and light.

Wren Green has been attracting first time buyers, young families and those looking to upsize, with buyer feedback complimenting the variety of house types available. Buyers have also been drawn to the development’s accessible location adjacent to the M6 and a short walk from Bamber Bridge train station.

Once complete, which is expected in Spring next year, phase one of Wren Green will comprise 103 homes, 20 of which will be available through a housing association provider.

Countryside secured planning permission to build 188 homes on the brownfield site in January 2017.  A further phase of homes is expected to be built with a mix of tenures available following completion of the first phase of Wren Green.

Countryside is offering home buyers a range of initiatives designed to ease the house buying process, including the Government-backed Help to Buy 5% deposit scheme. The developer is also offering its own Part Exchange scheme to buyers who may be struggling to sell their existing home.

Deborah Hughes, Regional Sales and Marketing Director, Partnerships North, Countryside, commented: “The feedback we have had from our buyers has been so positive and demonstrates that we have struck the perfect balance of quality, space and specification with the added advantage of an ideal location. With a mix of tenures and a variety of home buying initiatives at Wren Green we really do have something for everyone.

“As with all of our developments we are committed to supporting and working with the local community to ensure our new neighbourhood at Wren Green creates a positive legacy for the local community. As such, we are currently working on an engagement programme with local schools and community groups and we look forward to building this while our work on site continues throughout the year.”
