Topping Out Ceremony of First Affordable Homes Marks the Latest Milestone at Feature17
The ceremony was attended by Councillor Clare Coghill, Leader of Waltham Forest Council and members of the Waltham Forest Council Regeneration and Growth team.
The first affordable homes at Hopson House is part of Phase 1A of the Feature 17 development, which is providing a total of 103 new homes.
When fully complete, Feature 17 will provide 436 new homes, with 38% affordable, including 150 council homes for affordable rent to replace the outdated existing homes. There will also be flexible retail space managed by the council surrounding a new plaza with improved walkways and cycle routes, which link into Waltham Forest’s ‘Mini Holland’ scheme, a play area and water feature. The new community and commercial space will transform the former estate and area surrounding Wood Street station.

We are proud to be delivering the affordable units two months ahead of schedule, and this shows that keeping the community at the heart of a scheme is engrained in our DNA.
